Open Letter to All Arabian Stallion Owners:

Arabian Horse Fair Association has implemented a Challenge Futurity/Maturity Program for amateur owners/riders/handlers using their purebred registered Arabians.   AHFA is working hard to bring a fun, friendly atmosphere to Arabian horse owners, riders and breeders! 

One of the solutions is to create and support a venue that allows you to show Arabians against Arabians that is recognized by the owners, breeders, riders, and trainers as well as the local clubs as worthwhile and important to the promotion of the breed. The proceeds from the sale of these breedings goes towards the awards in the Three-year-old Futurity (Colts and Fillies) and to the Four-year-old Maturity for purebred, registered Arabians shown under saddle. . The minimal amount of twenty (20) percent will be retained for the office costs associated with the program administration. All the classes in AHFA have a scorecard so that you will see how the judge rated you in his/her placings. 

We would like to be able to start in the 2008 Year with a Fall Festival get-together in October, showing our horses to one another in a friendly format and to begin the program with the auction of the stallion services. Future Fall Festivals will feature Open Classes under AHFA rules, Educational Seminars Open to All, The Parade of Stallions, and a Special Saturday Night Party for Members and Guests.  

Other projects for the future could include a scholarship for Youth Nationally winners. The Owners Guide on the website lists all the different categories for competition of these awards. Some ambitious goals and we will need your support and encouragement.

Through the website, professionally developed, Magazines and Flyers, Brochures distributed at national events throughout the nation.

Web Site Advertising - Each stallion receives their own Web Page with photo, pedigree, all pertinent information an the owner's email address.

Low Yearly Dues and Level Playing Field - A Single membership costing $25 yearly for all.

Social Events - Every Fair having a fun get-together for everyone to share in getting to know one another, develop friendships and comradeship.

Committee Involvement - Sharing in the Participation, comradery and development of activities for the organization.
