What is the Purpose of AHFA?

• To provide a place for breeders to get together, view each other's horses and to be able evaluate how they are doing with their own breeding programs.
• To provide a way for people to get the education and information they need to take care of their own horses, do their own training, to enjoy what they do with their horses, whether it be trail riding, jumping, cattle work at home or in fun and friendly competition.
• To provide a format to encourage people to ride their Arabians through the Arabian Challenge Futurity/Maturity and the Working Cow Horse jackpots, as well as participate in endurance rides, open shows, any event or endeavor that is open to all breeds of horses.
• To provide a simple, humane and fair set of show rules for groups or individuals who want to put on Purebred Arabian shows in their areas that have nation wide recognition.

AHFA has strict rules that protect the horses from drugs and abuse. This organization is not exclusive. Members of AHFA all have an equal vote in the organization.  The success of the program is dependent on the involvement of many people. We welcome everyone's involvement. If you have chosen the love of Arabian horses for yourself, pick one of the great efforts detailed in the programs and see how you can help. Or, invent one of your own. There is soo much to be done to keep our wonderful breed alive and here for the next generations. However, the horses you compete on must be Purebred Arabians but may be registered with any recognized Purebred Arabian horse registry.
